Patrick Gregston

Humans are remarkably adaptive. We accommodate all sorts of subtle and extreme conditions and circumstances, both difficult and desirous, and often accept them as ‘normal’. Almost always we also want change, as it is our nature to be dissatisfied or uncomfortable with our state. While Gandhi tells us to be the change we desire. The question is how?

As another human on a journey, Patrick has adapted consciously and unconsciously to a number of such aspects, including injury, pleasure, want and abundance, work, joy and loss. He has taught techniques in creative, technical and academic fields, acquiring a large tool kit of sharing knowledge and experience along the way. He has been an information glutton, constantly gathering up, trying out and assessing many self development techniques.

After nearly a decade of yoga, Patrick had the experience of being stuck or having reached a plateau in his practice, with little idea of how to progress beyond the boundaries presented by his physical self. In Resistance Flexibility Strength Training, he has learned a technique to adapt his tissue intentionally, rearranging his fascia and scar tissue to have a sense of freedom in his body, balancing strength and range of motion. He has been removing his soft tissue impingements, disappearing or altering all his aging symptoms, changing his body and enjoying the process.

The model of RFST offers tools for people to be the author of their own well being, through an activity that is both simple and complex, that serves to discover our body, as well as then change it as well as our experience of it. You are invited to learn the basics of the technique and start changing your tissues.
