Subtle Body and Bhakti
Terra Gold, MTOM, L.Ac., C-IAYT, E-RYT500, is the co-author of the comprehensive yoga therapy medical book, entitled Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Meets Modern Medicine, that highlights the uses of yoga therapy within specific medical fields. She has taught yoga classes for 22 years, and has been an acupuncturist and clinically trained nutritionist for 12 years. She is a lover of Bhakti Yoga and using sound for healing, and co-created the Vocal Yoga Teacher Trainings in Los Angeles, co-led by author and voice scientist, Heather Lyle. Terra also has a BA from UCLA in World Arts and Cultures, with a focus in “cultural rites of passages and dance movement therapy,” and has an allied professional degree in Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP). She is the co-creator and director of the Yoga and the Healing Sciences Training Program at Loyola Marymount University for the last 7 years running. Her fascination and commitment to the integration of subtle body/spirit level balancing with embodiment-based practices informs most of her work and is her joy to share with others.
