Emily Benaron has over 15 years of yoga teaching experience. Her teaching blends together the traditions of yoga and yoga therapy with anatomy, modern movement science, neuroscience, and mindfulness practices. It is Emily’s intention to guide students to deepen sensory, psychological, and spiritual awareness, as well as develop a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the body and mind. Emily teaches holistic yoga practices that support multi-dimensional wellness balancing the nervous system, cultivating physical strength, resilience, and mobility while creating connection with one’s personal strengths, inner resources, and compassion for self and others.
Emily is a C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, an E-RYT 500, a CAMTC Licensed Massage Practitioner, NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist, a Certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, a Certified Roll Model Practitioner, and a Certified Wellness Coach.
Each class taught by Emily is a unique blend of yoga, movement, and meditation creating an opportunity to practice deeper awareness of body, mind and heart. Breath focused yoga and movement builds strength and resilience in the body, increases mental focus and ease, and unwinds the nervous system leading to improved overall wellbeing.
Emily’s Yoga for Strength classes includes interval training with weights and is an energizing, sweaty, and fun way to build strength and new neuropathways for balance, movement and mobility.
