Lauren’s affection for yoga took hold when she settled into Santa Barbara at the end of 2012. She trained in the south of Spain with Vidya Heisel through Frog Lotus Yoga International, and shortly after arriving back home, she began an additional 200-hour Vinyasa course here in town under the guidance of Erica Blitz.

Lauren’s hope is to provide students with a smorgasbord of tools to use along the path toward balance and awakening. Through creative and intuitive sequencing in her classes, she instructs students to practice physical alignment, to observe their breath, and to give themselves the space to manifest their own fire and grace.

Lauren practices and teaches yoga for the purpose of exploration. She seeks to encourage inquiry around the things that lead us astray and endeavors to help illuminate the paths that direct us back home. She believes that if we can allow ourselves to arrive, to turn down the volume if only for a moment, we can from there cultivate the curiosity to determine which channels speak to us the clearest. From that deep innermost connection, she encourages students to pump up the volume. Dial in, feel fully, and allow yourself to be seen.
