Concetta Troskie
My work as a somatic trauma psychotherapist informs my yoga teaching, and the body’s intelligence is always at the center. In my teaching, we make space for the guidance of the nervous system, and move from a place of curious, embodied listening. I started teaching yoga in 2001 in New York City. Over the years, as my personal practice has deepened, I have integrated somatic, expressive arts and psychotherapeutic principles into my class flow.
Weaving together asana and intuitive movement, my class offers space for your body to express its primal wisdom in a trauma – informed container. Together, we invite any blocked emotions and stagnant energy to mobilize in a nourishing way. As a collective nervous system, we co-regulate one another through our joined yoga practice. My class invites healing on an individual and collective level, personal reflection and playful release.
It is a blessing to move with you, to share with you and to grow with you.
