Terra Gold

Terra was born at Findhorn Community in Scotland and was introduced to yoga in a profound and life-changing way at age 12. She has taught yoga in the Los Angeles area for over 20 years, is a certified yoga therapist, licensed acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner, a clinical nutritionist and has an allied professional degree in integrative body psychotherapy. Founder of the integrative medicine company Terra Wellness and co-founder of the company Yoga Doctors, she is also the co-creator and director of the Yoga and the Healing Sciences 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Loyola Marymount University. Terra co-wrote the comprehensive yoga therapy medical book, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science and Modern Medicine Meet, that highlights the uses of yoga therapy within specific medical fields. She has been featured in LA Yoga Magazine and in the widely acclaimed books Yoga For Dummies and Shakti: The Feminine Power of Yoga. Along with this Terra is also a Bhakti Kirtan Musician with a self-released album entitled “Sun and Moon.”

Terra’s classes are a blend of ancient tradition with modern therapeutic variations that inspire people to find their own inner alignment through balancing the principles that create stability and ease in one’s own body and one’s life. She challenges people with different levels of ability, while her classes are suitable for all levels. Terra fuses the esoteric with the scientific, the yin with the yang, and each class is designed to inspire you to maintain a conscious heart and intelligent mind while you challenge your inner sense of balance, finding an embodied presence of spirit no matter what life brings your way.
