In yoga, the core and pelvis represent the physical and energetic foundation of the practice.

This workshop draws from various yoga practices as well as Pilates, Feldenkrais, and movement modalities of the subtle body.

Appropriate to all levels, this offering will support students interested in exploring the best way to move for their body in this practice, whether there are injuries to consider or not. There will be some flow elements to the workshop and certainly a lot of strength-building, but mostly we will dive into detail work of the pelvis and core.

Cynthia has taught courses in yoga philosophy, yoga asana, and human anatomy and brings a very instructional component to her teaching. This attention to detail- and really to the art of tuning attention to its finest point- brings her class deep into the experience of the body, breath, and heart. This creates safety and kindness in the practice. Cynthia continues to pursue her understanding of the practice wherever and whenever she can. She is a registered Yoga Therapist and has over two decades of study with world-class teachers in several schools of yoga, including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa Krama, and modern flow blends. She is Pilates trained and has a Masters Degree in Nutrition.
