Sounds into Silence is a feature-length documentary that explores the musical and social phenomenon of chant and response meditation. With music and Performances from Deva Premal & Miten with Manose, Krishna Das, Snatam Kaur, Jai Uttal, MC Yogi, Dave Stringer, Lama Gyurme & Jean-Philippe Rykiel, C.C. White, Mirabai Ceiba, Gaura Vani, Nina Rao, Charlie Braun & Others . Our local musician and healer Sudama will start off the evening with a chant before the film.

Sudama Mark Kennedy is a United Nations award winning intuitive healer, shaman and musician residing in California, with a gift for rapid and often instant pain removal, connecting audiences and clients to a deeper experience of Self.
His healing consultations are designed and created to bring about mind/body/spirit integration, and help the client resolve difficult situations of every kind with creative and soulful expression, and correcting any weaknesses that needs strengthening.
As a diplomat’s son, he grew up in many countries around the world. His mythopoetic approach to healing is, in part informed by his work in creative writing and poetry at Princeton University. Sudama has taught at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria CA, and almost every grade from elementary school to Graduate School during his life
