Skyler has been clinically obsessed with “yoga” since he first walked into a studio 5 years ago. Unlike many teachers, he is not yet an expert of this style or that technique. His own practice is constantly discovering, changing, and evolving – as are the classes he teaches. The greatest lesson he has learned is that there is nothing someone else can teach you about your own body. The greatest teachers of his life have only pointed to a direction of inquiry and have often shown up as challenging people and circumstances.
Skyler’s intention is to hold a space where students feel confidently guided into new territories and simultaneously encouraged to explore. He is an avid reader and lover of music, often incorporating his latest discoveries in his classes. He has found that the body becomes healthy, supple, and strong when we stop trying to make it be something specific! Skyler is a student of attentiveness, kind-patience, willingness, trust, sincerity, and seriousness.
