MaMuse:
(“Ma” as in Mamma; “Muse” as in the one who inspires)

Wholeheartedly fed by the folk and gospel traditions, MaMuse (Sarah Nutting and Karisha Longaker) create uplifting music for the pure joy of it and to inspire the world into thriving. Interweaving brilliant and haunting harmony with lyrics born of honed emotional intelligence, MaMuse invokes a musical presence that inspires the opening of the heart. Playing a family of varied acoustic instruments including upright bass, guitar, mandolins, ukulele, and flutes, and backed by inspired drummer (Mike Wofchuck) these two powerful women embody a love for all of life. The synergy that is created through this musical connection is palpable and truly moving to witness.

With nine delicious years of co-creation and four full length albums under their belts, MaMuse keep their hearts tuned to the creation of music for the health of ALL BEINGS.

Album Release: Prayers For Freedom

The Muses have been generous with us in this particular set of songs for this album. We have been inspired to pull through powerful anthems for freedom and justice, soul filled serenades of generosity and kindness, playful explorations of presence and wonder, heartfelt melodies of grief and tenderness, and my goodness!!! …. Rushing Rivers FULL of songs For the Love of Water!

“With kindness as our currency, the Common Wealth is in our hands.” ~ MaMuse
