Learning to Enjoy Backbends

Ricky was super stiff when he started yoga in his late 20s. Now about to hit 40 years old, he is more flexible (and strong) than he was in his early 20s! His updog (urdhva mukha svanasana) once hurt his low back and he detested wheel (urdhva dhanurasana). It took him 5 years to learn to enjoy wheel and other backbends and now, they feel good and he looks forward to bending backwards. Explore common sense approaches to backhanding for beginners and beyond. Expect to work intelligently hard and maybe even experience energetic/emotional releases through this heart opening series. All levels welcome. Beginners encouraged.
